Hey guys!

I just found out about the 100 Happy Days challenge from A Beautiful Mess. It's basically a challenge for you to document something that makes you happy everyday for 100 days. :) I think it's really cool. 

I think it's really inspiring right?! I'm gonna be doing mine on Twitter. Feel free to join me. :) I'm starting tomorrow. I think this could really help me, because I've been quite upset about things recently and feeling quite sad. I hope I don't fail. x)

Musical Monday #8

Hey guys!

Sorry I missed last week, but I haven't missed today. :) Anyways, for those of you who are new, Musical Monday is a weekly linky hosted by My So-Called Chaos. I found a lot of songs through out these weeks, but I though I'd share this particular one with you.

I really want to share more but nevertheless here's Stay High by Hippie Sabotage. I was debating between Isabelle by Gregory and Hawk, A Wish by Gregory and Hawk, and Stay High by Hippie Sabotage. I don't know why but Stay High somehow won.

All of those songs are relatively sad songs. I know to some people Stay High doesn't seem like a sad song, but if you listen to the lyrics you'll see that it actually is kinda sad. If you decide to go listen to the other songs, then let me know what you think. I love Gregory and Hawk. The singer's voice, is so beautiful. :) I also really like Hippie Sabotage just because of the name. x)

A Little Tip

Hello parents out there.

Let me give you a little tip. Don't ever EVER destroy your child's dream ok? Just please don't. I'm begging you not to. No matter how ridiculous their dream may be, don't even try. Don't you dare try. Do not force them to call it unrealistic. Just don't. You're supposed to be there to support and cheer them on. We children are honestly quite easy to understand. We just want love and for you to be there. We don't want you to humiliate us. We don't want you to tear us down. We want you stand there by our sides and push us a little further and hold us a little higher. And if we were to fall, we want you to be there to catch us and hold us until we're safe and sound. We want you to be there in the crowd cheering us on as we stride towards victory. We want you on our side even if we're dead wrong. So never go against our dreams please. Obviously we want a few other things such as toys, but no such thing is as important as those which I just listed about you.

I thought you wanted us to be safe and happy. Isn't that what you desire most? Us to be safe and happy. To be strong and healthy. To be smart and able to make it on our own? So why would you possibly tear down our dreams? That's doing the complete opposite. And honestly doing that will make us hate you. No, it's not possible for us to completely hate you. But trust me, that friendship you may have or could possibly gain would be completely gone. It'll be gone in a matter of seconds if you do that. Yes, you do have hope of regaining it but it'll never be the same again.

You can show them it's impractical in small doses that aren't very upfront. But to just go out and tell them that their dreams are ridiculous and would never happen. Don't you dare do that. I'm sorry if my tone is harsh or rude, but I just feel very strongly about this. Dreams are important to us. To some it could be the most important things.

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you all that before you hurt your relationship with your child.

P.S. I realize how hard it is being a parent. I don't know personally but I can imagine. We all make mistakes, but please just don't do this. Just be kind and laugh with them encouraging them. Because the time you guys have together is honestly quite short. Soon enough they'll be off in college leading on their own life in glory. And if you play your cards right, you'll be right along side them shining in the light next to them. You'll be able to continue laughing and fooling around with them. Only now they can support themselves and can help support you as well. Also, one last thing. Please, try not to take your anger from a friend or work or whatever out on your child. :)

Guess what day it is!

Guess what day it is!

It's the ides of March! The day Julius Ceasar was killed! Now I know this isn't something to 'celebrate' and Julius was a somewhat awesome guy. Somewhat... I just have this grudge against him ok? It all has to do with October. It's cause he added more months to the year therefore pushing October back and no longer making it the eight month! I think someone else added another month making it the tenth though... I mean, they didn't even have the decency to change the time! -_- Why couldn't they make add those months after December?! That way the order would still make sense.

Anyways, I just wanted to pass that piece of knowledge on. :P

Tanya Burr's Make Up Line

Hey guys!

Do you guys know Tanya Burr? If not you should really check out her YouTube channel. I just found out that she has a make up line. It's absolutely amazing! I love it! At the moment she only has lip gloss and nail polish though.

This is her lip gloss in the color of "Let's Travel The World". I declare this as my exploration lip gloss. I must bring it with me every time I travel. I so dearly want to buy it right now. Maybe I just will. You can't find it in stores outside of the UK, but you can buy it online at Feel Unique.

Here are two colors of her nail polish. The blue one is "Little Duck" and the red one is "Mischief Managed". The rest of the colors are also absolutely beautiful. I want all of them! You can also buy them at Feel Unique.

30 Day Squat Challenge: Day 1

Hey guys!

So I've decided to get fit by joining the Operation Get Fit Linky on Venus Trapped In Mars. So, for this month, I'm going to do the 30 day squat challenge which I found while scrolling through Pinterest. :) Though this will go into April a few days, since I started late. :P

My Lemon Iced Tea Recipe

Hey guys!

So yesterday was oddly hot here in Bangalore, so I decided to make myself some iced tea. However, I was out of my Lipton Iced Tea powder mixes -- or so I thought, I found it after I was done making my tea. :P Anyways, my mom told me that I could just make some by making normal tea but cooling it down. I thought that sounded awful! I mean normal tea is supposed to be hot! How on earth could it possibly taste any good cold?! So once she left, I decided I'd give it a go anyways. Here's what I did...

Ingredients:
- 4 bags of green tea
- 5 cups of boiled water
- A pitcher
- Sugar
- A lemon
- Ice

Steps:

My glass of tea

1. Pour around 5 teaspoons of sugar into your pitcher & put the bags of tea in.
2. Pour the boiled water into the pitcher and close the pitcher.
3. Come back in around 15 minutes.
4. Take out the tea bags and throw them out.
5. Mix the sugar in.
6. Cut the lemon and squeeze the juice into the tea.
7. Put some ice in to help cool and put in fridge.
8. Take out once cooled, put more ice in, and pour into a glass to drink.
9. Optional: Sweeten to your pleasing.

That's it!

Lupita Nyoung'o

Hey guys!

Can we just stop to talk about Lupita Nyoung'o please? For those of you who don't know who Lupita is, she is an oscar winning actress.

She looked gorgeous at the Oscars and I truly love what she said at the end of her speech. I see posts about her going around Pinterest, and I think she is an icon or role model to a lot of the girls out there now. Here's what she said:

I think it's absolutely gorgeous, though when I heard her say that, I thought her word choice was a bit odd. I mean really? Valid? There's got to be a better word, right? But after a bit I fell in love with her quote even though I think that her choice of the word valid was a bit odd, but that's a good thing because so many people strive to be different and that small word makes her unique. No one that I can think of -- aside for her -- would use the word valid in that sentence, so I think it's beautiful that she did. Plus the message is just absolutely gorgeous in general.

After I got over the word valid, I was honestly truly touched because so many people that I know keep telling me that my dreams are pointless and ridiculous. My dreams is that one thing that I can't stand people insulting and when she said that it just truly made me happy because I felt like she was talking to me specifically as I'm sure several others felt. Anyways, I just wanted to share that. You go girl! ;)

Monthly Item

Hey guys!

So I've started this new thing called the Monthly Item, which you can see on the right sidebar. At the beginning of every month, I'll put up a new item. These items are basically things that I love and find amazing with the link for you to buy it! :D

This month's item is the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Film Camera. I don't actually have one but it's on my wishlist. It's a polaroid camera which I want so badly! A couple of my friends have this so, I know it's good since I've used it myself. Check it out if you feel like it. :D

SUDAN!

Hey guys!

So I just got the word from my parents today, I'm moving to Sudan! At the end of the school year that is, which is June. So yay! New place. We'll be staying there until I graduate. We're actually gonna have a house. I haven't had a house since I was 3! I'm so excited. AND I GET TO PAINT MY ROOM! This is the best news I've heard since I got my cats. ^_^ I FINALLY GET TO PAINT MY ROOM! You have no idea how excited I am. I know it seems ridiculous, but this is honestly huge to me. Plus we'll actually get to travel to places aside for to the US & Thailand. I'll keep you posted. :)
